Better Business Bureau - Better Business Bureau Standards : Why Is BBB Accreditation Important?Better Business Bureau Accreditation Is Important

Our website proudly posts our Accreditation with the Better Business Bureau as of September 9, 2013. For nearly a full year, we have been fully accredited. To gain this standard, we had to include a commitment for full customer satisfaction and handling of customer complains. We pay fees to keep this accreditation under full review and monitored to maintain the BBB support. Our services aren’t technically approved and reviewed, but the way we handle business has been. Why would we bother getting accredited if we weren’t confident in our abilities?

BBB Standards are as follows:

Building and maintaining a level of trust and positive track records.

  • 12 months of service or operation of similar business under BBB accreditation.
  • Bonding and licensing requirements of applicable jurisdictions. Updates are required and BBB can request them.
  • Accreditation not possible if there is failure for the support of BBB principles.
  • Maintain a B rating from the BBB.
  • Meet application standards within the Code of business Practices, cooperate with BBB activities, work with the BBB to promote effective business strategies, honor settlements and agreements from BBB disputes, pay all fees and complete applications.

Advertisement with established standards.

  • Federal, state, provincial, and local advertising laws and industry codes must be followed while complying with the BBB Code of Advertising. One such requirement is using the BBB name and logo following the policy.
  • When disputes arise, cooperation with the BBB with self-regulatory programs.
  • Avoid false impressions, endorsement, quality, and the like through the misuse of logos, testimonials, images, etc.

Honesty.

  • Misinterpretation or statements or the omission and altering of facts is forbidden.
  • Keep written materials available, clear, and accurate.

Maintain openness in regards to business related information.

  • BBB is able and required to evaluate the compliance with the standards.
  • Disclose to customers information to: contact information for the business, terms of written contract, warranties and guarantees, restrictions and limitations of product or services, return and refund policy, information regarding future billing and the like, and total costs of all transactions including tax, shipping and handling.

Fulfill contracts and agreements in full and honor representations as quickly as possible.

Address marketplace disputes in a professional manner.

  • Complaints forwarded by the BBB will be resolved by addressing the issue, including documents supporting the business’ position on the issue and if compensation is not provided, and explanation as to why.
  • Arbitration and other forms of dispute may be considered if other methods fail.
  • Comply and cooperate with decisions reached through the BBB dispute process to eliminate repeated offenses.

Safeguard Privacy to protect collected data regarding fraud, personal information, and customer preferences.

  • Any information collected needs disclosure as to what the information is, how it’s secured, who will see it, how it can be changed, and how to address concerns. Any failure to comply with customer preferences will not be accepted and must be remedied.
  • When information is collected online, security of transmission needs to be guaranteed.

All manners of business must be conducted with integrity and any actions not condoned or supported by the BBB are to be discouraged.

What does all of this mean? It means we are determined to make you, the customer, happy and help you feel safe and secure in transactions and keeps you up to date with all information regarding our company.
